For anyone who hasn't heard. the audiobook version of ABIDE WITH ME has been nominated for a SOVAS Award in the Crime and Thriller category.

The nominees in this category are as follows:

Audiobook Narration – Crime & Thriller, Best Voiceover

Amid the Shadows
By Michael C. Grumley and read by Julia Whelan

The Good Girl
By Mary Kubica and read by Lindy Nettleton, Johnny Heller, Tom Taylorson, and Andi Arndt

Huntress Moon: The Huntress Series, Book 1
By Alexandra Sokoloff and read by R.C. Bray

The Cartel
By Don Winslow and read by Ray Porter

Abide With Me
By Ian Ayris and read by Karl Jenkinson

Amazing company, I think you'll agree. And a real testament to the voiceover abilities of Karl Jenkinson. Karl did magnificent job with ABIDE WITH ME. When I was writing the book, the I had the voice of Ray Winstone in my head. I have now completed the writing of the sequel - APRIL SKIES - and it is no longer Ray Winstone's voice I hear, it is Karl's. That is what a fantastic job he did.

You can listen to a sample of the audiobook here (UK) and here (US)

The SOVAS award ceremony takes place on the 15th November, in Hollywood.

All the best to the other nominees.

And, just, well . . . blimey . . .

  1. Thanks for the review. Honestly I did not expect much from this book. But you have intrigued me. Especially the manner of writing attracts attention. All the papers writers should learn how to express their thoughts.
