ABIDE WITH ME: the next book signing . . .

Firstly, I have to apologise for the lack of activity on the blog this week - kids are off school and, to be fair, it's been a bit of a nightmare.

But onward, ever onward, as a small chap once sang . . . I think.

Tomorrow sees the third of my book signing events.  The previous two signings have taken place at branches of Waterstones - one of the main bookstore chains here in the UK.  Tomorrow I will be signing books at my first independent bookshop - the Newham Book Shop, on the Barking Road, just round the corner from West Ham's Boleyn Ground.

The Newham Book Shop

I know this signing will be a completely new experience for me, and am really excited to be taking part.  The local paper - The Newham Recorder - have been in contact this week, asking for a review copy of the book.  And a couple of days ago I heard they will also be sending a photographer from the paper to the book signing, so all very exciting stuff.

So tomorrow morning, laden with a box of books, my seven foot pull-up screen cover, and my bag of bits, I'll be boarding the train to Upton Park Station, via a bus to Hornchurch and the underground from Aldgate East coming out on what I hope will be a nice and sunny Green Street.

Upton Park Tube Station

The book signing kicks off at one o'clock, and the West Ham kick off a few hundred yards round the corner at home to Brighton at three.  Here's hoping for a Hammers victory and a point or three for the Mighty Daggers away at Aldershot on the same day.

Of course, if we can shift a few books into the bargain, it'll be a fantastic day all round.

*****BREAKING NEWS*****

ABIDE WITH ME is now the best-selling Sports Fiction book on Amazon UK in both Kindle and paperback format.

Thanks loads for all your support in enabling this to happen.  Here's to the onward journey, eh :)

All the best,

Ian

  1. Had a few gargle's in The Boleyn, in my time. And good scran on Green Street. My main pub in that area was The Essex Arms, circa 1991- 96. I wonder if it's still on the go.
