Latest Stuff and Things

Feel like I've neglected the blog of late, and for that, I heartily apologise.  Life, you know.  And stuff.  Lots of stuff.

Just finished reading Turtle Island by Darren Laws.  If you like you're detective fiction challenging and chilling, Turtle Island won't disappoint.  Sort of book I was quite happily jogging along, reading three chapters a night, then BANG.  About two thirds through, I just couldn't stop reading.  Truly disturbing stuff.  Compulsive and horrifying in equal measure.  And at a download price of 99c, you just can't lose.

I'm also half way through Jason Michel's brilliant Confessions of a Black Dog.  I can do Jason no more justice than this fabulous review by Richard Godwin.  Suffice to say, COABD is one of the finest books I have EVER read.

Writing wise, I've just finished writing my first surfing short story, called SURF RIDER.  It's about a surfer bloke suffering from a forty year drug induced psychosis, and what happens when two London oiks try and nick his surfboard.  Needless to say, it all gets a little bit messy . . .

I'm also in the process of writing a short story with Broken Dreams author, Nick Quantrill.  How exciting is that.  And I tell you what, I've never had so much fun writing a short story :)
